About the artist:

As an artist, Alaa is deeply moved by the emotional landscape within, the dreams that visit her, and the fragments of memory that shape an individual. Her art is a journey of self-discovery, a bridge between the spiritual and physical realms, and a compass that guides her through the labyrinth of reality. She explores the dualities of human nature and expresses them through a variety of mediums, including pottery, sculpture, sketches, and poetry.

Her educational journey began at California College of the Arts in Oakland/San Francisco in 2012, and continued at Peralta Community College. The ceramic department there left a profound imprint on her. Having been born in Saudi Arabia, a brief stay in Albany, New York, and significant periods of her life in Beirut, Lebanon, and the Bay area have all contributed to a rich tapestry of multicultural experiences that fuel her artistic exploration and research.

Upon her return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, she shared her passion for pottery as an instructor at Keramos for two years, teaching students of all ages. Her work is to the quest for understanding different forms of communication and language, and a reflection of her truth and roots.

As a ceramic artist and pottery instructor, she is deeply committed to her craft and to sharing knowledge with beginners. Her approach to art and event planning is interdisciplinary, drawing on various academic fields and perspectives. Viewing challenges as puzzles to be solved and opportunities to be seized.

In terms of the skills she has gained, she is proficient in various artistic mediums. Also adept at event planning, with a knack for integrating various academic fields and perspectives into her approach. She is a dedicated and hardworking individual, always striving to improve and develop her skills. Hoping to ensure problem-solving as a solution.

Having lived in the United States (New York and California), Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, her multicultural experiences have enriched artistic exploration and research. Currently seeking positions where she can utilize and further develop certain skill sets. Her journey and aspirations are a testament to the dedication and commitment to her craft.
